Spring project in the town of Vileika, Minsk region:
Vileika is a small town in Minsk region. The population is a thousand people. It's a nice, clean and very quiet town. There are a lot of kindergartens, schools, colleges and different kind of churches here.
April 23
Today at about 3 p.m. we arrived in Vileika. We rested a bit, had lunch and investigated the place of our dwelling. Then we cleaned our house and yard. In the evening we prepared for the morning service.
April 24
We got at 8, had breakfast and waited for the missionary. By 10 o'clock people started to come. A little bit later a missionary and his wife came. The service started at 10 and finished at 12.30. After the service we discussed with a missionary our plans for the project. We showed him invitations for the Easter service, which we had printed beforehand. He liked them very much.
The missionary's name is Vladimir. He gave us long and lower-income families addresses. We wanted to invite them to the service and render them humanitarian aid.
We also wanted to meet and invite our neighbors.
In the evening we walked in the town.
April 25
At 10 a.m. we began to give out the invitations. We spent the whole day walking from door to door. We also invited people we met in the street. PeopleÒs responses were different. Some took our invitation with joy but others were not so happy. One woman was confirmed that the only true church is Orthodox.
We came home at 9 p.m.
April 26
We started our day with prayer. Then we had breakfast and went to invite people again. With the help of God we managed to do it quicker than yesterday. On that day we gave out invitations till 3 p.m. We had some rest, and after lunch went to visit one elderly man. His wife passed away a month ago. He was missing her a lot. We prayed and talked with him. He felt better, though he was still grieving for his wife.
We came home, washed the floor in the house of prayer and then prepared for the next day service.
April 27
It was the first day of holiday. We woke up at 8 o'clock in a very good mood. People started coming to the church. We could have talked to them for one hour before the service began. There were a lot of people that morning. 4 new people came to the church. They enjoyed the service and asked a lot questions after it. The evening service was at 3 p.m. It was a Bible study.
April 28
The service began at 10. There were fewer people than yesterday, but some unbelievers came. After the service we had fellowship with them. One girl liked the church but an older woman didn't.
There was no evening service and we went to the other Baptist church. We had good fellowship with young people there.
April 29
In the morning we visited one woman who had come to the service. She liked it very much and we wanted to get to know her better. She lives not far from the church. She has never heard about God. She heard something about Baptists, but didn't know what they are. We told her about God and ourselves, invited her to the church. She promised to come next Sunday.
In the evening we went to visit an elderly man. We read the Bible, prayed and tried to comfort him.
This is how our project went.

The day of departure
Interesting stories
When we went to people's houses and invited them to the Easter service, we met one woman. First we asked her how to find the street we needed. She showed us the direction. Then we asked her if she had heard anything about God. She said that she had and a lot. She also read the Bible. We invited her to the meeting and showed her our invitation. She read it and asked what church we were from. We explained. She said to us: «There are many cults now Baptists, Pentecostals, Jehovah witnesses, but there is only one true faith Orthodox. I am not going to change it.» Then we asked her if she fulfilled what was written in the Bible. She said that people were sinful and couldn't fulfill everything. We agreed with her statement that all people were sinful, but said that God gave us strength to live according to His will. We just need to ask Him about it. She didn't respond. Then we asked her if she would come to the meeting. She didn't answer, said «Sorry» and left.
